Forgive me my self-absorption, at least for today. Maybe one day I'll be secure enough to get rid of this blog.
Today I read an article in the school newspaper about why people chose to go to this university. It admittedly was not an in-depth article, but it was so limited in scope it was ridiculous. Some foreign students talked about recruitment efforts, and one girl commented on how close to home it was. Come on, people, let's tell it like it is. The only reason people go here is because they are too poor or too stupid to go anywhere else. Harsh words, but true. I'd like to see that in the newspaper one day!
