It's a blustery day. Windy and cold, so unpleasant to walk up the mountain to my parked car.
I went to hear this talk from a potential new CS faculty member. It was pretty interesting, and I even got to talk to the guy after class. He's from New York, a fact that is endlessly charming to me, what with the accent and managing to mention Grand Central Station in conversation.
Work, well, let's just say I have got the software from hell. I'm hoping that this is the last time we have to install it. I hate feeling so incompetent, but it's not really my fault that it doesn't work no matter what I do.
