Forrest Gump is on right now, which is funny because I was just thinking about that movie a few days ago. Forrest Gump used to be my favorite movie, but I really don't know why. It's not like I lived through most of the stuff in the movie, or if I did I don't remember it. It's a movie that is a mish-mash of a lot of things- humor, drama, wacky through-the-generations cultural references, Southern sayings, and cool music. The characters are memorable- Lieutenant Dan, Bubba, Jenny, Forrest, Forrest's Momma- and they're surprisingly complex. I guess that's why I like the movie, in a nutshell.
