So my first day at the newspaper. It seemed pretty cool. I have a hard time handling group situations, though. Like I had the perfect opportunity to get a really good story but I didn't speak up in time and so another girl got it. At the end of the meeting I wandered around like a lost puppy. That whole "lost puppy" thing doesn't make the best impression on your bosses. But it was cool because I felt like I actually wanted to be there, that I "fit in", well, as much as I'll ever fit into a group. I thought, this would be a cool job, if I could get it and make a living at it.
